The Rams finished 2021 on a historic run — quite literally . On November 13th , the Varsity Cross Country team made history as they captured the CHSAA NY State Catholic School Championship for the first time since 1959 , ending a 62-year drought .

Myles Hogan ’ 22 won his second straight Individual State title , winning the 2.5-mile race by 22 seconds . Liam Dennehy ’ 22 took 3rd place , Matthew Febles ’ 22 finished 9th , Dean Mayo ’ 22 took 12th and Darren Croke ’ 22 was 18th as all five scorers earned All-State status . Lucas Moran ’ 22 and Sean Reidy ’ 23 were 44th and 53rd respectively out of over 100 competitors . |

On December 11 , Hogan concluded one of the greatest campaigns in the Prep ’ s storied history , taking 27th place at the National Cross Country Championship in San Diego , California . More recently , Hogan became just the 4th Fordham Prep athlete ever to be selected to compete at the famous Millrose Games HS One-Mile Run , and one of two NY State athletes chosen from a national field pulling from eight states .
At the 114th Millrose Games on January 29 , Myles Hogan ’ 22 clocked the fastest one-mile run in NY State this year at 4 minutes 13 seconds , taking 5th in a national field of athletes .
At the Eastern States Indoor Track and Field Championships on March 1 , seniors Carter Tresgallo ’ 22 and Mike Croke ’ 22 took 3rd and 5th places respectively , making history

as the first pair of Prep Pole vaulters to ever clear 14 feet , 6 inches in the same meet .
At the New York State Federation Indoor Track and Field Championships on March 5 , Myles Hogan ’ 22 became the first NY State runner to ever run the 3200 in under 9 minutes at the meet . Along with Myles ’ two gold medals , seniors Mike Croke ’ 22 and Matthew Febles ’ 22 earned 4th place medals in the pole vault and intersectional relay respectively .
Football The Varsity Rams finished their regular season with a record of 3-4 and ended their season on Thanksgiving with an overall record of 5-5 . In the first round of the playoffs against St . Peter ’ s Boys ’, the Rams won the game 13-12 with a thrilling last-second field goal .

The Rams dominated the 98th Annual Turkey Bowl against Xavier with a final score 27-13 . JV football shared in the program ’ s success , as they entered the CHSFL playoffs as # 1 seed and won the championship game over Christ the King .
Ice Hockey Varsity Ice Hockey opened its season with a 4-2 loss to Iona Prep but quickly slid back onto the winning side with victories against Xavier High School and Iona Prep .
In the second of a series of three games against rival Iona Prep , Rams held the Gaels to a shutout with a score of 1-0 . Goaltender Matteo Vitale ’ 22 had an outstanding game stopping all 35 shots he faced .
They ended the season with five wins , nine losses , and one tie .

On Sunday , January 9th , players of Fordham Prep and St . Anthony ’ s teams united on center ice to pause for a moment of silence to commemorate the tragic loss of St . Luke ’ s School hockey player Teddy Balkind .
