SPRING SPORTS ROUNDUP
The Fordham Prep Golf team finished the regular season with an 11-1 in-league record , with the only loss coming in the final match of the season to Archbishop Stepinac . However , the Rams went on to defeat Archbishop Stepinac 4-1 in the quarter-final round of the playoffs , and swept Holy Cross in the semi-finals .
On May 25th , the Rams beat Iona Prep in an incredibly close match to claim the 11th City Championship in the history of the Program . Timmy Doheny ’ 23 , Amos Choe ’ 24 , Peter Gallucci ’ 22 , Ethan Alexander ’ 22 , JT Wolf ’ 22 , Oliver McGovern ’ 23 and Robert Moran ’ 23 all contributed to the convincing , resounding success of the 2022 campaign to complete the season with a 14-1 overall record .
Lacrosse
The Lacrosse team finished with a 5-12 record during the regular season , including a late-season surge to win the last four games before the playoffs . The Rams lost to Archbishop Stepinac 12-4 in the first round of the CHSAA playoffs . The team shows promise for next season with a talented group of rising seniors . CHSAA 1st Team honors were awarded to Lewis Moore , Jack O ’ Leary , Jack Freel , Tommy Gies , Charlie English , as well as 2nd Team honors awarded to Michael Semprevivo , Will Muccia , and Jack Powers .
