If you’re a festival fanatic, you don’t want to miss the Wine Festival
and Pumpkin Festival presented annually by the Yadkin Valley
Chamber of Commerce. You can sample the wines of the Yadkin
Valley the third Saturday in May at the Yadkin Valley Wine Festival at
the Municipal Park in Elkin. Each year more than 25 wineries in the
Yadkin Valley Appellation come together to offer samplings of their
award-winning wines. The festival also features a wide variety of
food items.

In the fall it’s the Annual Pumpkin Festival. The festivities all take
place on Saturday, including the Great Pumpkin Weigh-off. Since thi
