They will now be looking to put together a
good run of form in their remaining matches
in order to finish in the best league position
possible. This in turn would provide them with
a solid platform from which to build as they
head into the summer. As long as the club is
able to retain its current group of players and
can perhaps make one or two quality additions
they should be in with a good chance of pushing
on in the future.
It is important for any team to have players
that can be relied upon to find the back of the net
regularly and Ashley Kelly and Daniel Smales
are currently tied at the top of their scoring
charts with 8 a-piece with Kevin Connelly
just behind them with seven. Having players
capable of scoring can really give confidence to
the whole squad and gives the team the ability
to turn good performances into wins.
Although Gretna FC 2008 has not perhaps
enjoyed the campaign they would have liked
this time around this should not take away
from the good work being carried out at the
club. If they continue in the same manner then
they should be able to look forwards to a bright
and successful future for many years to come.
