We were hoping for further improvement this season but Manager Scott Reynolds resigned in the close season and six of our first team squad moved en mass to another local Club. “This season our new Manager resigned after a couple of months and once again we are in the process of rebuilding and we are lower mid table at present although results have picked up lately and we are hoping to end the season in a reasonably high position but we are in a competitive League and nothing can or will be taken for granted. “Due to financial problems a few seasons ago we stopped running an Under 18 Team and a Reserve team and this caused its own problems on the football side. We have run a Development Team for the last two seasons and a few of the younger players have gained some experience in the first team this season and this should stand them in good stead next season. We consider ourselves to be a Community Club but would like to have better links with local youth football to enable us to progress on/off the pitch. “We as a Club would like to play at least one Division Higher in the (Evo-Stik Southern League) but with new FA regulations on dressing room sizes a lot of changes would be required and this could present a significant target. The other major challenge is to win the League as only one club is promoted from our League at the current time. “One of the other Challenges that we face is that we are in an area where eight of the teams around us are already in the Southern League and ambitious players will always find these Step 4 Clubs a more attractive proposition. It is also very difficult these days for players to leave work early to travel to long distance away games in midweek and this is reflected in the results of some midweek matches. We are always looking at ways of improving our income but if we want to attain a higher League status the costs continue to increase with extra travel and ground improvements.” PearTree Dental Practice Pear Tree Dental strives to provide the highest quality family and cosmetic dentistry in a compassionate and relaxed atmosphere.
