St Johnstone
U21 level. There are a number of exciting young prospects in
the ranks at the moment who split their time between youth
and Reserve Team football - with a small number sent out on-
loan to gain first-team experience. The Reserves side - compiled
mostly of our young players - has reached the semi-final of the
Scottish Reserve Cup and will face Motherwell for a place in
the final in February.
FF: Would you consider yours to be a community club?
GH: St. Johnstone Football Club is absolutely a community
club and working closely with the club’s charitable Trust -
Saints in the Community - we deliver projects throughout the
local area including Community Coaching Sessions for Kids,
Football Memories (Dementia Care), Walking Football, Fit
Fans in Training and Show Racism the Red Card.
The club has recently partnered up with Aviva to deliver
more projects in the community, including healthy eating
campaigns in schools. The community is extremely important
to this football club.
