fantastic performances during the campaign so far.
They have repaid that by turning out in particular for
away games, with the club taking close to 2,000 supporters to
Dens Park on 29th December to witness what many believe to
have been the best performance of the season to date.
FF: How important is youth football to the club?
GH: Youth football is a huge thing for the club and we’re
part of the new Project Brave programme introduced by the
SFA last year. Our Head of Youth Development - Alistair
Stevenson - has worked hard to pull together a talented pool
of young players from the local area as well as a number of
highly thought of youngsters from across Scotland - even as
far north as Shetland!
Over the years the club has managed to bring through
young talent such as Stevie May, Zander Clark and Jason Kerr
through from the youth sides/U20s right into the first-team.
Stevie May - now of Aberdeen - has gone on to represent
Scotland at full international level with Jason Kerr capped at
