“We have recently finished a
huge project that was completed
this summer, despite being in the
pipeline for many years. Our brand
new, state of the art floodlights were
installed at our Surrey Street ground
and have been a fantastic addition.
It’s the biggest project in the
club’s history and we are very proud
of the achievement. It was all made
possible thanks to a generous grant
from the football stadia improvement
fund, which is a sister organisation

of the Football Foundation. We’d
like to thank everyone who helped
us bring this wonderful project to a
successful conclusion.”
Challenges/Ambitions
“Ultimately, we all have the
club’s best interests at heart, and our
first priority is always to protect the
long-term longevity of the football
club. One of the big challenges will
be keeping up with increased costs
and remaining competitive in the
ever-changing world of non-league
football. Rest assured the board are
working very hard on exploring new
revenue streams and growing the
club on and off the field both in the
short and long term.
The primary aim right now is
to stabilise Glossop North End’s
position in Evo Stik Division 1 West.
We have shown before that we have
the ability to be competitive in this
league and get into the playoffs.
Anything can happen in football and
we won’t rule anything out!”
