Glossop North End with our previous managers, Andy Bishop and Mark Canning. Both Mark and Andy showed a huge amount of commitment to the club and were a pleasure to work with, however results on the field meant we needed a change. But we have acted quickly as a board and implemented a pair of experienced replacement managers, Pete Band and Lloyd Morrison. So there is now some renewed optimism going into the next few games that hopefully results on the field will improve.” 2018/19 “The results we have had so far this season have certainly not been what we expected and our current position towards the bottom of Evo Stik Divison 1 West does not represent the ambition of the club nor its valued supporters. We showed the potential we have when we went to Radcliffe and beat them 2-1 at their place when they were top of the league. Now the new managers have been appointed we are fully behind them and ready to support them as we look to climb the league table and avoid relegation, it took Glossop North End over thirty years to get out the NWCFL and we do not want to be back there any time soon. It’s a competitive division this season with no one really running away at the top or breaking away at the bottom, so who knows, anything can happen. We’ll take it one game at a time.” Youth “Our friends at Glossop North End Juniors have a truly fantastic setup with over 400 juniors playing across their 38 teams! The support they give the junior players is truly unbelievable, they are a valuable part of our local community and are the number one choice for junior football in the area. With the junior setup it’s not just playing football, they help develop the kids social, physical, psychological and technical aspects to make them the best players they can be! Huge credit to Dave Rowlinson and his team for making such a success of Glossop North End Juniors.” www.footballfocusmag.com 95
