“Our aims over the course of this season are to hopefully
raise the profile of the club and to have a successful season on
the pitch which in turn could lead to greater support, more
help and more sponsors.
“The biggest challenge we face is that the club’s pavilion
is at the end of its days and to survive, the club must raise the
funds to knock it down and replace it. We are not eligible for
the larger grants as we are a standalone, one team, adult side.
Our centenary is in 2019, but the club’s future currently hangs
in the balance.
“Maintaining good help behind the scenes as well as
the lure of lower Northern League clubs who plunder the
Northern Alliance for players, offering ‘expenses’ while we
look to survive as an amateur club are other challenges we face.
We will continue to work as a club to meet these challenges
and continue to progress.”
