Gainsborough Trinity FOLLOW US ONLINE TWITTER.COM/FOOTYFOCUSMAG “I’ve always been a Gainsborough supporter and so was glad to have the opportunity to give something back to the club. I go to every home game and they’re doing well this season. Keep doing what you’re doing and good luck for the rest of the season!” Kevin Fisher, Wicked Event Water Services my life (teaching and work life balance don’t really co-exist in the same sentence). So really it does come down to managing my time, to ensure nothing misses out! There’s a general feel of optimism around the club at the moment. Having suffered our first relegation in our history at the back end of last season and the initial hurt, things quickly swung into action to right the wrongs of the previous season. Most people were happy with the recruitment and the talk coming out of the dressing room was certainly centred around being up there and challenging, something Gainsborough sides, since I have been at the club, haven’t had. A sticky patch in October perhaps dampened spirits a little, but with games in hand over lots of teams above us, we’re not a million miles away from cementing a playoff spot! Our knockout competition form hasn’t perhaps been the best so far this season. We had a great result against Chasetown at the Martin & Co Arena, winning 8-2, in the FA Cup, but we came unstuck against Blyth, were knocked out in the first qualifying round by Tamworth following a replay and exited the Integro Cup with defeat to Gresley at the first attempt.
