Football Focus Magazine recently caught up with their First Team Manager Scott Price to find out more about the club. FF: How long have you been involved and what first attracted you to the club? SP: I began playing at Hollington United FC at the young age of 15, amongst these years we won leagues and cups. My team mates from then still come up and support the club on a weekly basis which shows great sportsmanship. Being a local lad attracted me to Hollington FC, I sat back and considered the future and potential of the football club and knew straight away Hollington United was something I wanted to be a part of. lives and being able to introduce them into senior games and thriving amongst it is an asset to watch. FF: What are the most challenging and rewarding aspects of your role? FF: How is the general mood down at the club at the moment? SP: The most challenging aspects of my role is the training facilities. Hastings is very deprived of such facilities which makes it hard for the team to train in the winter months due to lack of availability in the facilities that are around! The most rewarding aspect of my role is being able to watch, develop and bring through youth players. Adult football will be a massive part of their SP: The general mood down the club is electric at the moment. There is a big buzz in the clubhouse every week as things are finally starting to look positive on and off the pitch. With a shake up of staff at the start of the season, things are now really starting to progress and helping to make the club a club it should be. 26 Issue 81 FF: How would you say the season has gone so far for the club? SP: Definitely above expectations! We entered a new league this season as we were just looking to stabilise but being ‘The New Team on the Block’ see’s us getting results weekly, being able to utilise youth team players accordingly, still in all cup competitions and pushing towards winning the title! FF: What are your plans for the rest of the campaign? SP: There is no time like the present at Hollington United. The plan for the rest of the campaign is to continue to develop
