Merthyr Town Merthyr Town FOOTBALL CLUB M erthyr Town FC is south Wales’ Premier Non-League team and is a fine example of a fan owned community club. They play their home games at Penydarren Park in the heart of the Merthyr Tydfil community and currently compete in the Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division. They have enjoyed a fine campaign on the field this time around, having put together a record of twenty five wins, fourteen draws and seven defeats from their forty six matches. This saw them finish in third place in the league with 89 points on the board. This saw them qualify for the play-offs and they will be determined to achieve promotion. Either way they can be proud of their efforts this season and should have a perfect platform from which to build for the future. Football Focus Magazine was keen to find out more about the good work being carried out at the club and with this in mind we caught up with their Chairman Meurig Price.
