committee around the club are fantastic and they do a
great day to day job which allows me to enjoy games
more than maybe they do.
The main reward is simple, when you see the sum
of the parts come together, the club is a fantastic place
to be. I remember we won the West Midlands Regional
League Division One Cup, and I watched from afar, the
committee, supporters, management and players all
coming together and enjoying that win, it was fantastic.”
Atmosphere
2018/19
2018/19 went well but it should have been better.
The change of manager should explain that. We all
genuinely enjoyed our football under the old manager
but something wasn’t quite right last season and a fresh
start was needed.
It had highs and lows, we beat Rylands, who won the
league, 2-0 at home, but lost 2-6 at home to New Mills
who were fighting relegation. We had two cup semi-
finals and two cup first round knock outs, that sums
things up.”

“I can’t lie, as I write this, the atmosphere is a bit
unknown. We have just done a first and appointed a
manager through a proper interview process and none
of us know anything apart from what his CV has stated,
he has only met five of us at the club.
That said, the five who have met him have great
optimism as he seems a really good guy, has a great CV
and is a football man so we hope it will prove a successful
season. We are all excited to see how our new U18’s team
goes and are waiting for the next steps in potentially
moving home again.”
“We were initially contacted by the club to do
some insurance work with them and this is how I got
to know some of the management team. Being a local
lad I knew of St Martins FC and with them being a
local club we agreed to do some sponsorship with
them to support the local Football Club. I do like to
get down to the games when I can, not as often as
maybe I’d like but we do try. I like to follow the club
progress and see them do well. Good Luck to all
