Hungerford Town
“Our plan now is to become a CiC
as mentioned, as well as bringing in
more sponsors and friends of HTFC.
We also want to reach out into the
community to increase the gate
and ensure our facilities are used
more out of season to bring in more
revenue. Players will become more
accessible and visit schools etc on a
regular basis. We are a great family
club and need to get more families to
experience the atmosphere down at
the ground.
“We have a junior section of
around 160 and an academy of
45, so youth development is very
important. The plan is to strengthen
this area and expand the junior
section. Two academy players
graduated to the 1st team squad and
played their part last season.
“Our biggest challenge will
be replacing the era of having a
benefactor to becoming a stable,
well-run club commercially to
ensure the clubs future at this level.
We will hopefully become well
established at this level, avoiding
relegation battles and giving youth a
good home.”
“I have been involved
in the club since the
age of 14, I played
winger, full back and
sweeper for the club
over my many playing
years. It was a great
pleasure playing in
the FA Vase semi-
final which went to
3 legs. I now help
out with the kits on
match days, from a
business side I get
involved with all the
design and planning
of new stands. I have
been involved as a
sponsor for the last
three seasons and
this year I am looking
forward to exciting
times with the new
chairman onboard.
I would like to wish
everyone at the club
the best of luck for
the season ahead.”
