ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL CLUB
Lydney Town AFC is based at the Lydney Recreation Ground on Swan
Road in Gloucestershire and their first team currently competes in the UHL
Premier Division. They are led by Chair Dean Voss who is supported by
Secretary Roger Sansom and the club is looking to progress under their
guidance. The club is a fine example of the important role that a local side
can play in their local community.
Last season their first team put together a steady
league campaign as they compiled a record of fourteen
wins, four draws and sixteen defeats from their thirty-
six matches. This saw them finish in a safe mid table
position with forty-eight points on the board.
This should provide the club with a solid platform
from which to build as they look ahead towards their
2019-20 campaign. As long as they are able to retain their

current group of players and can perhaps make one or
two quality additions they should be in with a good
chance of pushing on up the league next time around.
Lydney Town AFC is not a club to focus solely upon
their senior section however and this is reflected by the
fact that they also have a thriving youth set up. This part
