“We are absolutely a community club; our club plays
in the heart of Marston Green and has close links to the
local junior and infant school. In fact, we have two teams
that almost 95% of the player are from the same year
group at the local junior school. Everyone knows and
supports one another.” “Our biggest challenge is funding; the club is
volunteer led and we depend on fund raising to develop
the ground and facilities. We want to become the club of
choice in the local area and provide facilities to children
where they can enjoy their football and feel part of
something. We want players to play for Marston and
when it comes time to leave, leave with fond memories
of the club and help mould their values for adulthood.”
