Lastly, it’s been a real huge success in
terms of player development. We have
an average age of just 20 in the squad and
this means week in week out, we trust
our youth to go out and perform for the
shirt. This season we have continually
showed faith in the young players,
who have not disappointed and so the
identity that we want hungry players
who wish to play for the shirt with pride
is being shown. We have seven games
left and a chance at reaching the play offs
and if we achieved this it would be the
stuff of dreams based on what we first
took over.”
Youth
“Youth football is huge in terms of
bringing players through to the senior
setup. Our philosophy is to bring
through and play young players and
we have done this. Unfortunately, this
season, our own internal academy could
not be renewed due to financial restraints
however we have plans in place to bring
this back in. It’s a must if we wish to
continue bringing through players to
represent the club.
We want to help players transition
into the senior game by offering them
a clear career pathway at the club. If
a player has dedicated his childhood
years in representing the club then we
wish to offer them a clear defined path
to senior football. We have a vision
