“Youth development is fundamental
to the club in terms of striving to achieve
further success with the juniors at the
heart of the club. Youth football was
non-existent in the community until the
club was set up, the club has been at the
forefront of bringing youth football to
the community.
The juniors have done an amazing
job, so much so that they have won two
national FA awards, being featured on
BBC Get Inspired videos, in addition to
this, the club attracted the attention of
Fundacion Real Madrid and has thus
developed an exclusive partnership.
It has been an unbelievable rise from
nothing to being at the forefront in the
community, raising standards every
year to being the best in the area and
innovating our approach as we keep
moving forward.”

Challenges/Ambitions
“Unfortunately,
the
biggest
challenge coming for the club is external
and nothing directly that the club can
control. Being a majority BAME club,
racism both on the pitch and from the
sidelines is a major issue.
Alpha United Juniors hopes to
continue growing and being an even
bigger part of the community and have a
wider reach, therefore, more juniors are
able to participate in football and be a
part of a successful junior football club.”
