Lossiemouth Lossiemouth F FOOTBALL CLUB irst established in 1945, Lossiemouth FC has gone on to put together a history of which they have every right to be proud and are affectionately known by their supporters as the Coasters. Football Focus Magazine recently caught up with Club Representative Alan McIntosh to find out more about the club. He told us, “I joined the club in 1984 as I was helping at the ground through my employer. I was then asked to go on the committee and became Admin Secretary. My role was to represent the club on several committees i.e. Scottish Highland Football League, North of Scotland FA and Scottish FA where I became Chairman of SHFL and NFA and council member of Scottish FA and the head of delegation of several teams age groups 15 to 19.” “At the moment the mood is very good even though we’re second bottom with only two wins and two draws. The team has mostly players under twenty-two with four twenty-four-year olds. It’s been disappointing but we’ve stuck to a plan to promote players through our youth system U17s and U20s teams but we have seen a vast improvement from the start of the season and hopeful we can keep the team together. There are only a few away games left but we are looking to play as well as we can and possibly pick up some points. “We have invested heavily and have a great youth committee who have just set up U13s and are hopefully WALKERS TAXI & MINIBUS SERVICE Radio Controlled Cars Minibus Service (8 seater) Personal service Airport Runs (early morning hires) Access to and from RAF Base LOSSIEMOUTH(01343) 812940 Proud sponsors of Lossiemouth FC www.footballfocusmag.com 5
