Deeping Rangers
“We aim to be recognised as the leading football club in
South Lincolnshire and we will strive for excellence not only
on the pitch but also through our coaching, volunteering and
reaching out to the local community.
riches of the sport but it is essential
that we remain focussed on being
a grassroots football club for our
past, present and future players,
committee members, volunteers and
spectators.”
This season their approach
appears to be paying off with their
first team putting together a superb
record of twenty-seven wins, four
draws and six defeats from their
thirty-seven league matches played.
This sees them sitting second in the
league as the campaign draws to a
close.
Although they would obviously
have liked to win the league, this
should not take away from the
superb performances they have
produced this season. If they can
keep their current group of players
together and perhaps make one or
two quality additions they should be
well set up to continue to develop.
One of the highlights of the
Deeping Rangers set up is the superb
youth section that the club has in
place. This part of the club looks to
provide young players from the local
community with an opportunity to
play the game in a safe and enjoyable
environment whilst helping them to
reach their full potential.
It is important for any club looking
to be successful over a sustained
period of time to be able to produce
“We’ve sponsored the club for
more than ten years; I played
for Deeping in goal when I first
moved to the area aged 35. From
this my son Nik came through
the junior section and on to the
reserves and first team, also as a
goalkeeper while my grandson
Callum Henderson currently plays
in the U11s.
They are doing unbelievably this
season having won the County
Cup; keep up the fantastic football
and continue working hard into
the future!”

their own talent, particularly in the
current financial climate and this is
an area they appear to have covered.
Coaching staff involved with this
part of the club are confident they’ve
a number of players on their books
with the potential for a bright future
in the game.
Deeping Rangers FC’s success
at first team level is a reflection of
a well-run club carrying out some
outstanding work. If they can
continue in the same manner then
they should be able to look forwards
to a bright and successful future.
