The Palace for Life Foundation
The Palace for Life Foundation is focused on helping young south Londoners
grow through the power of sport, inspiring them to find a better path in life
and does a fantastic job of helping people in their community on a daily basis.
Football Focus Magazine recently caught up with their Chief Executive Mike
Summers to find out more about the good work they’ve been doing lately.
Mike told us, “I’ve been with the
foundation for around two and a half
years now; I love the role and it is great

community based around the Premier
League ‘Kicks’ programme, delivering
football as well as other activities giving
young people something to do that’s

to contact with positive role models.

‘Healthy Eagles’ which is encouraging

young people to improve their diets and
to be more physically active. That has
been running for around a year and a
half and we’re linking that in with the
BBC’s ‘Super Movers’ campaign which is
encouraging children in primary schools
in particular to be more active.
“We’ve recently launched a dance
video called ‘the Eagle’s Swoop’ which is
a dance routine promoting more activity
