FOOTBALL CLUB
pirit of Youth FC does a fantastic job of providing young
players from their local community with a safe and enjoyable
environment in which to play the game. Football Focus Magazine
recently caught up with Club Representative Kristian Perry to find
out more.
Involvement
Kristian told us, “I have been
involved since 2012 so seven years. I
started out coaching in YD when my
son started and then progressed to
managing his team from U7s through
to U11s. We chose Spirit of Youth as this
was where his friends were and it has a
great reputation for developing children
of all abilities. The club has a really good
reputation within the local community
and schools which has been built up and
developed since starting up in 1977.”
The Role
“The most challenging part of being
club chairman is making decisions with
the committee, as it may not always be
the one that the managers, coaches and
