Bolton Woods
A lot of work is put into the
club in order to gain funding
which is put towards ensuring
that the club will be sustainable for
years to come. They managed to
secure funding from the Football
Foundation to build a new
clubhouse and had some fantastic
facilities in place including a new
drainage system for their five and a
half hectares of land. Funding has
also been secured from the Council
and other charities including from
the charitable arm of the Football
Association.
The rewards are there to see
for the people putting that work
in with young people actively
engaged in sporting activity with
the aim of the club being stated
on their website being to, “make
sport, not crime, a choice for young
people”.
Bolton Woods Junior FC
really is a brilliant example of
the important role that a club can
play in their local community. The
volunteers that make this possible
deserve tremendous credit and if
they continue in the same manner
then they should be able to look
forwards to a bright and successful
future for many years to come.
