To help the interested parties to use the Global Markets Programme as possibility to certify the small and less developed businesses, GFSI introduced a new online tool, which is described in this issue. This was the reason, QUALIFOOD, a company with decades of experience in consulting and auditing to GFSI approved standards decided to publish the magazine. The magazine is focused on key standards used in the food industry in area of food quality and safety. The GFSI`s (Global Food Safety Initiative`s) approved standards are one of the most important standards in the food industry. You will find in our magazine regular updates on the BRC, IFS, FSSC 22000, SQF, GlobalGAP standards, together with articles describing the implementation of individual requirements. The magazine (including its Czech version published since 2001) is a long term media partner of GFSI`s Global Food Safety Conference. There is a large number of different certification schemes available on the market that are applicable to the food sector. We provide information about several of them. In the last issue, we included an article in UTZ certification, describing sustainable certification of certain crops such as cocoa, coffee and others. In regular sections “Food Industry News“, “Food Safety Crises“ and “Events“, you will find updates on important news, events, publications and crises relevant to the focus of our magazine.
