feature Citrus Route T in Honor of Tequila equila has a stigma about how to drink it and when to drink it. The Sensations Citrus program from Hédoné under the guidance of the distillate consultant Alberto Navarro, has demonstrated that this beverage may be harmonized with various Mexican and international dishes, because when tasting the blue agave (Agave Tequilana) distillate it shows notes of citrus that includes lemon, orange and tangerine in addition to spices and aromatic herbs. In collaboration with Tequila Tres Generaciones, during this year special menus have been created at various restaurants in Mexico City, Puerto Vallarta and Guadalajara in which the restaurant has chosen a guest chef. Enjoying the taste of Tres Generaciones in a Riedel tequila glass (instead of the traditional shot glass called caballito) conjures up the taste of ceviche prepared by Yerika Muñoz of Astrid & Gaston for the Silver Tequila, the flauta de lengue (deep fried rolled tortillas filled with beef tongue) served with a salsa made from chicatanas (flying ants) prepared by chefs Fulcheri and Melendez in Limosneros restaurant with a Tequila Reposado, or a Risotto with Foie Gras prepared by Abel Hernandez in Eloise restaurant or lastly the filet mignon prepared by Poncho Hernández from Tamayo Restaurant along with Tequila Añejo. These are just a sampling of the creative works that look to highlight the tasting notes of this National Beverage called Tequila.
