Thermal Imaging for Food Processing and Packaging
From cooking and cooling to packaging and quality control, thermal imaging offers food manufacturers a fast, contact-free way to monitor temperature across products and processes. InfraTec’ s VarioCAM ® and ImageIR ® thermal imaging cameras can reveal temperature distributions that conventional point sensors may miss, helping manufacturers identify process variations and maintain consistent product quality.
For food processing, thermal imaging can be used to monitor heating and cooling processes, identify uneven temperature distributions and investigate potential production issues. The VarioCAM ® HD head range offers high-resolution imaging and interchangeable lenses, making it adaptable to different inspection requirements.
In packaging, InfraTec’ s ImageIR ® 6300 can be used with PEEL-SCAN to inspect seals on plastic food containers with metallic films. The system can detect tiny sealing defects producing temperature differences of just 20 mK, providing non-destructive quality control.
