Automated packaging for food producers on show at PPMA Total 2025
Yorkshire Packaging Systems( YPS) will be exhibiting at Stand E84 at the PPMA Total Show at the NEC during September.
“ Last year we had some very productive discussions with food producers who were visiting the show to understand the latest in automated packaging,” stated YPS MD, Glyn Johnson.
“ With almost 50 years in business, we have helped numerous manufacturers to find the right packaging system for them – from bakeries to dairies, ready meal makers to meat producers,” he concluded.
The YPS stand will feature some key essential types of shrink wrapping systems from YPS’ large range.
For display shrink-wrapping applications, YPS will demonstrate an automatic l-sealer. This servo-driven example delivers high-speed wrapping while creating a precise seal for a professional finish.
For those seeking a system for transit wrapping applications, YPS will also be showing a side feed sleeve sealer. This machine is packed with features that support flexibility, ideal for contract packing operations or for manufacturers with wide and varied product ranges.
“ These two shrink wrapping machines give a great idea of what can be achieved with automated wrapping,” commented Glyn.“ They’ re an excellent initial talking point for people who are looking to move or upgrade to this type of system, as we can show exactly what they can do.”
As YPS stock and supply both automated packaging machinery and materials, their stand will also feature a display of the latest advanced consumables, including a selection of food-contact-approved options.
“ While PPMA is primarily a machinery-focussed exhibition, all those visitors who have machinery also need materials. Our team are always happy to discuss which materials would work well with either new or existing equipment to ensure that our customers are getting the best out of their system,” explained Glyn.
