Silverson Machines at the PPMA show 2022
This year Silverson Machines will be on stand E52 at the PPMA show . On the stand will be a range of high shear mixing equipment , from smaller-scale Laboratory mixers to full scale production mixers such as the Flashmix high speed powder / liquid mixer .
As well as the Flashmix , this year visitors to the stand will be able to see working examples of the Silverson Batch , Bottom Entry , Ultramix and Laboratory mixers including the Verso-UHS-HV .
The Verso-UHS-HV is a bench top In-Line mixer designed for mixing high viscosity products . It incorporates the same unique and innovative ‘ pumping rotor ’ design as the production scale UHS- HV In-Line mixers . This substantially increases its self-pumping capacity , allowing it to process products such as gels , creams , sauces and gum solutions on a laboratory scale .
All Silverson laboratory mixers are designed and built to the same tolerances as the production units ; comparable rotor tip speed and shear rates across our entire product line allows for easy scale up without the need for reformulating .
Also on the stand visitors will get to see the Silverson Bottom Entry mixer in action . Typically used in conjunction with a stirrer / scraper unit , the Bottom Entry mixer gives high shear homogenisation while the stirrer / scraper distributes the homogenised output uniformly throughout the vessel . This is ideal for high-viscosity cosmetic , pharmaceutical and food products .
The Silverson Ultramix will also be running on the stand , this mixer is ideal for rapidly wetting out powders including gums and thickeners . The vigorous mixing action is capable of moving the entire contents of vessels even in difficult shaped containers .

A conversion kit is available allowing the Verso-UHS-HV to be configured as an FMX5 Powder / Liquid mixer .
Also on the stand visitors will get to see the Silverson Bottom Entry mixer in action .
The FMX5 is a laboratory scale version of the Silverson Flashmix powder / liquid mixer and provides a simple , effective and hygienic means of powder / liquid mixing . The unit is suitable for small scale manufacturing and R & D work with a typical batch size of up to 10 litres , depending on viscosity . The FMX5 is also available in a hygienic specification , the FMX5 UHS , which is recommended for hygienic applications and clean industries .
