Formed in 1917 , Slack & Parr Ltd made their first precision gear metering pump in the 1940 ’ s . While the latest range of pumps is designed specifically for low viscosities , alterative ranges of pumps are also available that have been developed to cope with extremely high viscosities and high pressures . While standard pumps are available to cover flow rates from approximately 1cc / min up to 500 Litre / min , standard pumps are not always the right answer .
