Feel better about your plastic packaging
with Induction Cap Sealing
Induction cap sealing is an easily implemented solution that reduces the
amount of plastic used in packaging by millions of tonnes a year, yet, at the
same time keeps products fresh and secure.
A filled container is closed with a cap containing an induction liner and
passes underneath an induction coil. The induction coil creates heat in the
liner which melts a polymer layer creating a hermetic seal to the container
neck.
This simple seal is good for manufacturers as it eliminates leakers and
wastage and protects against counterfeiting, it also allows bottles and caps to
be light-weighted thus reducing transportation costs and unit cost.
It’s good for the consumer as the seal provides tamper evidence, extends shelf-life,
and maintains the flavour, colour and aroma of the product.
The induction seal is so strong that the bottle and cap can be light-
weighted. The tamper band and bore seal are no longer needed. So
induction cap sealing is good for the environment as less plastic is used
and it’s easier to recycle.
