introduced to the North Texas Food Bank because his school participated in the Food 4 Kids program.
David worked as a machinist. When he retired, he admittedly took a few weeks to relax but then felt the urge to do something more meaningful with his time. In February of 2014, David was talking to his brother and Jack suggested they sign up to volunteer at the North Texas Food Bank.
Together, the brothers volunteer during the morning and afternoon shifts about 3 times a week. They alternate between both campuses as needed. Why do they keep coming back?
"The North Texas Food Bank is very well organized and the people that work here are great. When you come and volunteer, you really feel like you are contributing," said David.
