A letter from the
Director General
Hi,
At the time of penning this missive
this quarter, we are all anxiously
looking forward to the England v
Croatia game and the Society, along
with the rest of England wish our lads
all the very best in their quest to bring
football home.
Hey, it’s the summer, just a couple of
weeks before schools break up and
the summer holidays get properly
underway, a time when families look
to holidaying both home and abroad.
But its also a time to reflect on those
we have lost in the past year.
Unfortunately, holiday times, whether
it is summer, Christmas or at any other
time, the unforeseen happens and
the consequences can change lives
forever. In our business there is never
a right time to approach the subject of
death, serious illness or other issues
that can and will affect us all.
But from a professional viewpoint,
I urge members not to think too
negatively about promotions, talking
to people and reminding them that,
whilst we cannot stop these things
happening, we can help through

these periods by proper planning.
That said, lets lighten the mood,
football going well, tennis, well I
have no idea, BBQ’s annoying the
neighbours but on one point on this
day the twelve Thai boys and their
coach were finally rescued from the
caves in Thailand, so what a brilliant
end to this day and let’s hope there
will be many more great days.
Have a great, safe and happy
summer.
