The Eyes Have It!
It’ s been said that the eyes are the windows of the soul. They are also of no small importance in a portrait.
Eyes should( almost) always be sharp and with a single highlight. Multiple highlights are confusing.
This photograph was taken at around 8:00 pm, the location was Cowtown Rodeo. The movement was very fast, so I kept the shutter speed to 125th of a second. The F stop was f4.7 and the camera was set to incandescent and 1600 sensitivity( IS0). Other than the usual Photoshop burning in around the edges the photo was printed as you see it.
Red Eye? Unless you’ re photographing a poster for a vampire movie are also not appropriate. Even the most basic image editing software will get rid of red eye with nothing more then a couple of clicks.
So pay attention to the eyes in your portraits.
