The Eyes Have It !
It ’ s been said that the eyes are the windows of the soul . They are also of no small importance in a portrait .
Eyes should ( almost ) always be sharp and with a single highlight . Multiple highlights are confusing .
This photograph was taken at around 8:00 pm , the location was Cowtown Rodeo . The movement was very fast , so I kept the shutter speed to 125th of a second . The F stop was f4.7 and the camera was set to incandescent and 1600 sensitivity ( IS0 ). Other than the usual Photoshop burning in around the edges the photo was printed as you see it .
Red Eye ? Unless you ’ re photographing a poster for a vampire movie are also not appropriate . Even the most basic image editing software will get rid of red eye with nothing more then a couple of clicks .
So pay attention to the eyes in your portraits .
