Installation Tips
Pre-Installation Tips
• Allow the replacement gasket to reach room temperature
before unfolding.
• Carry the gasket by its corners and avoid squeezing the
folds to prevent breaking the internal magnetic strip.
• Thoroughly clean the area of the door where the gasket
attaches, as well as the cabinet perimeter that the gasket
face contacts.
Field Repairs
• If the vinyl material is accidentally torn or damaged, it
usually can be adequately repaired by welding with a
soldering iron or gluing with vinyl cement.
Distortions
• Our gaskets are made from a vinyl material which can
become distorted from folding. The folding is necessary to
allow a practical and economically sized shipping parcel.
