El árbol de Judas en la colina de la iglesia . El árbol fue plantado en 1750 por monjes franciscanos en una colina en el lado norte de la iglesia que se estaba construyendo en el pueblo en ese mismo momento . Es un milagro que esta especie mediterránea siga viva allí . Su floración primaveral es admirada por todos y se ha convertido en un símbolo del asentamiento . Innumerables plantas de sus semillas crecen en los jardines de Mélykút .
The tree was planted in 1750 by Franciscan monks from Subotica on a hill in the north side of the church that was being built in the village at the same time . It is a miracle that this Medditerrenean species is still alive there . Its spring blooming is admired by everyone and has become a symbol of the settlement . Countless seedlings from it live in the gardens de Mélykút .

Según una antigua costumbre polaca , se plantaba un tilo cuando nacía una hija . ¿ Así fue como se plantó nuestro tilo hace 170 años ? Quizás fue por mérito de las aves . El árbol se encuentra al borde del pueblo cerca de los campos . Nada se interponía en su camino , por lo que amplió sus ramas ( 25 m ). El santuario de San Jan Nepomucen que se encuentra cerca le ha dado un aire de magia al lugar . Su inusual belleza sorprende e inspira admiración por el poder de la naturaleza .
According to an ancient Polish custom a linden would be planted when a daughter was born . This is how our linden was planted 170 years ago ? Maybe it was on birdsʼ merit ? The tree is standing at the verge of the village close to the fields . Nothing was standing in her way thus she grew her branches wide ( 25 m ). She became a benefactress giving shadow to those who worked in the field , a place to rest for trekkers and nectar for the bees .
