The company has thus reduced CO 2 emissions from heating to zero .
Constantly tempered
Today , the air in the building is kept at a constant 21 degrees Celsius all year round and the cooling water for the grinding machines is kept at the same temperature . Only this combination enables tolerances of less than one micrometer on the components . Little external energy is used for this . Because a full 80 percent of the cooling capacity is covered by free cooling or the use of river water . Only 20 percent is generated by the chiller unit in midsummer . In addition , the photovoltaic system that has been integrated since 2006 feeds 30 kilowatts of green electricity into the grid and the entire factory was converted to LED lighting years ago .

● In 2018 , all 65 computers were replaced with thin clients that access virtualized servers and help save energy .
● Today the company uses 30 percent electric vehicles .
● 80 percent of employees use video conferencing instead of travelling .
● Since 2021 there has been a new packaging concept that uses recycled material instead of paper and cardboard .
