Welcome to America’ s National Capital Region.
Warm regards,
Winter has arrived in the National Capital Region, and we’ re pleased to welcome you through Reagan National and Dulles International airports. This season often brings a mix of celebration, busy travel and the chance to discover somewhere new, and we are grateful to be part of your journey.
Our cover story brings you to Copenhagen, a city that continues to shape the global food landscape. During a recent visit to the Royal Danish Embassy in Washington, its executive chef offered an inside look at the traditions and innovative ideas that define Denmark’ s culinary identity today. Copenhagen’ s restaurants, markets and neighborhood cafés have a charm all their own, and with SAS offering nonstop service from Dulles International, getting there is very straightforward.
As we look beyond the holidays, winter is an ideal time to explore several other destinations easily reached from Dulles. Warmer days await in San Juan, while Bogotá offers a lively arts scene and a remarkable setting high in the Andes. In Amman, travelers can experience deep history and contemporary Jordanian hospitality. For those who prefer colder weather, our direct connections to the Rocky Mountain region open the door to world-class skiing and winter landscapes in communities such as Vail, Jackson Hole, Bozeman and Steamboat Springs.
To help you travel smoothly during the busy months ahead, this issue includes our Holiday Travel Guide. Inside, you’ ll find practical advice on everything from using Metrorail and Kiss & Fly to reserving a parking space in advance. We recently introduced PassPark Premium, a new reservation option that allows travelers to secure a parking space in a designated area of the garages close to terminal access points.
We hope it brings a little more peace of mind to your trip.
Both airports continue to evolve in meaningful ways. At Reagan National, the DCA Reimagined program is adding upgraded amenities and greater comfort throughout the terminal. At Dulles International, construction of the new Concourse E remains a key part of the airport’ s long-term plan to support more international service and an enhanced passenger experience.
Wherever your plans take you this winter, thank you for choosing Reagan National and Dulles International airports.
Safe and enjoyable travels this season.
