With 25 million passengers served in 2023 , Dulles International activity is projected to continue breaking records and grow more than 30 % by 2030 . Unlike its peer airports , Dulles International has significant room to develop on its existing 12,000-acre footprint .
An unprecedented capital program , Dulles Next , is underway to build airport facilities that will meet air travel demand for the next 15 years and beyond .
The Airports Authority is currently building a new concourse , Concourse E , as part of Dulles Next . It will give passengers direct access from the airport ’ s AeroTrain system , enhance the customer experience , and increase the airport ’ s capacity for domestic and international flights . Future projects can expand the facility with minimal impact on airport operations .
Concourse E will have spacious , comfortable seating areas and easy passenger loading with flexible jet bridges to accommodate all size of aircraft . There will be plenty of choices for shopping and dining , with 46,000 square feet of concession space and a swanky 40,000 square foot airline club where passengers can relax before taking off . The new concourse offers a convenient passageway for arriving international passengers .
Dulles Next is a multi-year construction program that includes $ 7 billion in airport infrastructure upgrades .
These upgrades will transform passenger comfort , convenience , and service .
