IAD We want to thank Abdiqadar Makoma and Washington Flyer for going above and beyond tonight. We had a flat tire on I-66 and were sitting on the shoulder in Arlington, waiting for AAA to come help with the tire, when your Washington Flyer Cab, driven by Abdiqadar Makoma pulled up behind us and offered to help. He had seen the weather and knew it was about to pour rain. He had seen us when he was on the other side of the highway and very kindly drove to us and offered a dry place to sit while we waited for the pick- up truck to get there. And it poured! The AAA truck was on its way and Mr. Makoma let us sit in his car to wait for it, and very nicely offered to drive us home for free as well. The AAA representative was able to put the spare on our car, and we were able to drive home ourselves. But Abdiqadar was our angel tonight, and we wanted you to know that we really appreciated his stopping for us, advice, and kindness. We always use Washington Flyer when we are going to Dulles and are so glad that it was a Washington Flyer Taxi who stopped to help us. Mr. Makoma took time out of his night to help us, and we’re very grateful. Thank you, Deborah and Jack R DCA On September 10, a passenger arrived at Reagan National Airport via taxi for a departing flight. After he exited the taxi, he realized that his wallet was missing. He approached a K9 officer, Corporal Melanie Zinger, who advised him to check with his carrier, American Airlines, regarding his ability to fly without identification. While the passenger consulted the airline, Corporal Zinger placed a call to the Lost and Found office and confirmed that the wallet had been turned in. Without hesitation, Corporal Zinger proceeded to the ticketing level, located the passenger, and shared the good news. Five-Star Supervisor Solomon Debessai volunteered to drive the passenger to Terminal A, as the Lost and Found office was about to close. The passenger was able to retrieve his wallet and make his flight. The following afternoon, airport management spoke with the passenger, who shared his heartfelt appreciation for this outstanding customer service. This is a great example of delivering on the Airports Authority core values and honoring the Passenger Pledge through collaboration and going above and beyond to meet the needs of our passengers.
