Try to dine during sunset. W INTER W ONDERLAND No trip to Utah in winter would be complete without a visit to one of the nearby ski and snowboard resorts or to an Olympic venue. Utah has “the greatest snow on earth” (it says so on the license plates), and you can frolic in that snow at one of six resorts within 45 minutes of the airport: Deer Valley, Park City, Solitude, Brighton, Snowbird and Alta. A little further out are Snowbasin, Powder Mountain and Nordic Valley. Olympics enthusiasts will enjoy the thrilling activities at the Utah Olympic Park — a site of the 2002 Winter Olympics — where visitors can ride the Comet Bobsled and explore Olympic history. Or, enjoy cross country skiing, tubing and snowshoeing at Soldier Hollow in Midway, where the 2002 Winter Olympics Nordic skiing competitions were held.
