DULLES DAY
Dulles Day, featuring the legendary Plane Pull, returns to Washington Dulles International Airport for another unforgettable day of fun, flight, and philanthropy on Saturday, September 13 from 10 a. m.-4 p. m.
The aviation-themed event is hosted annually by the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police Department and provides a day of excitement and entertainment for the whole family, all while raising money for Special Olympics Virginia.
During the Plane Pull, teams of 25 will test their strength by pulling two full-size aircraft across the airfield. This unique event is open to the public and has room to accommodate thousands of spectators.
WHAT TO EXPECT
• Fire truck and mobile lounge rides( with cash donation)
• Live music and entertainment throughout the day
• A kids’ truck pull and a lively play area
• A curated classic car show
• An impressive lineup of aircraft displays for aviation enthusiasts
HELPFUL TIPS TO MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR VISIT:
• Take the Silver Line to Dulles Airport. Shuttles will conveniently drop you off at the event entrance.
• A stadium-style bag policy will be enforced. Only clear bags or small personal items( 5x7 inches or smaller) are permitted. Backpacks and luggage are not allowed.
• Exceptions are made for diaper bags and medical supplies, though all items are subject to search.
• Bring hats, sunscreen, and dress for the weather.
• Food and beverages will be available for purchase, and you can bring an empty water bottle to use at on-site filling stations.
