Cirque du Soleil Presents: VOLTA Fourth of July Fireworks at Jefferson Memorial Credit: Michael Kass FOURTH OF JULY Credit: Sean Pavone CITY OF FAIRFAX INDEPENDENCE DAY EVENING SHOW AND FIREWORKS July 4 NATIONAL INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE AND A CAPITOL FOURTH July 4 Constitution Avenue A full day of events rises with the sun, starting with the National Independence Day Parade along Constitution Avenue — the largest 4th of July parade in the country. Marching by are fife and drum corps, military servicemen and women, elaborate floats, and VIPs galore. Come evening, find a spot of grass on the West Lawn of the Capitol for A Capitol Fourth — a star-studded performance that culminates with Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture by the National Symphony Orchestra as fireworks light up the sky. LEESBURG’S INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION July 4 Leesburg, VA Leesburg’s 4th of July celebration begins with a hometown parade, beginning at Ida Lee Park and traveling down King Street through the historic district to Catoctin Circle. The event continues with a “Celebration in the Park” at Ida Lee with food vendors and live music. The grand finale will be a wonderful fireworks display over the park. Fairfax High School Starting at 5:30 pm with fireworks later in the evening, look out for special surprises during the event. Children’s activities include inflatables, face painting, and balloon artists. FIREWORKS & FUN AT TURNER FARM PARK July 4 Great Falls, VA Gates open at 6:00 pm. Live music, games, contests and food trucks will entertain until the Big Show gets underway just after dusk. HERNDON’S 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION July 4 Bready Park softball field A family-fun event featuring patriotic arts & craft activities, live music, family games, bingo, food vendors selling dinner and dessert items, and more.
