SLEEPBOX NOW OPEN
With the opening of Sleepbox Lounge,
customers now have a new way to rest,
relax, and even nap at Dulles International
Airport. Located in the mezzanine level
of the Terminal A AeroTrain station,
the individual pods, reserved through a
mobile app at an hourly rate, are a quiet
place to work, relax, and rest. Each pod is
soundproof and features electric power/
USB outlets, Wi-Fi, and a work space.
Comfortable bedding, which is changed by
the on-site cleaning crew after every use, is
also provided.
Dulles International is the first U.S.
airport to offer Sleepbox. The founders
of the company were introduced to the
region through the Airport Innovation
Challenge, a unique partnership between
the Airports Authority and 1776, a small
business incubator. As part of that program,
Sleepbox was able to meet with concessions
experts and procurement officials to learn
more about entering the airport market.
