represented at this year’ s Brew at
the Zoo. In between figuring out if
you’ re an IPA person or not there
will be animal demos. You’ re at
the zoo after all. Proceeds from
the evening support animal care
and conservation.

Fourth of July NATIONAL INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE
Line up along Constitution Avenue
to observe D. C.’ s annual National
Independence Day Parade. Expect
to see fife and drum corps, military
servicemen and women, elaborate
floats and VIPs galore. The parade
begins at 11:45 a. m. and is held
between 7th and 17th streets.

Artscape
Artscape is a huge arts festival,
attracting 350,000 + attendees
over three days. Featuring 150 +
fine artists, fashion designers
and craftspeople; visual art
exhibits on and off-site, including
exhibitions, outdoor sculpture,
art cars, photography; incredible
live concerts on outdoor stages;
a full schedule of performing arts
including dance, opera, theater,
film, experimental music and the
Baltimore Symphony Orchestra;
family events such as handson
projects, demonstrations,
competitions, children’ s entertainers
and street theater; and a delicious,
international menu of food and
beverages that are available
throughout the festival site.

A CAPITOL FOURTH
Find a spot on the West Lawn
of the U. S. Capitol for A Capitol
Fourth, which begins at 8 p. m.
The concert commonly features a
star-studded lineup of musicians
and a performance of Tchaikovsky’ s
1812 Overture by the National
Symphony Orchestra. The grand
finale features jaw-dropping
fireworks over the National Mall.
72nd Annual Rotary Club of Annapolis Crab Feast
This special event is not only the
world’ s largest crab feast but also
a major fund-raiser which benefits
local community and cultural
organizations. The feast is all-youcan
eat and drink, including large
and # 1 male crabs( the big ones)
plus Maryland vegetable crab soup,
sweet Maryland corn on the cob,
beef barbeque sandwiches, all-
American hot dogs, draft beer, and
assorted sodas and water. A bake
sale and cake raffle can finish your
feast with sweetness.
