Where is the last place you traveled? New York to Austin and then back to D. C.
Where was your last international trip? Japan, Korea, China combo.
Where is your next trip? London this weekend.
ELLIOTT’ S TIPS FOR STAYING HEALTHY WHILE FLYING 300,000 MILES A YEAR
• Hit the steam room as soon as you land
• Mandatory workouts
Do you always get the upgrade? No. But I’ m very appreciative when I do.
Where are your favorite airports? Bangkok for the high-end shopping, it doesn’ t feel like an airport. Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is interesting and unique. Love the cuisine available at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport and enjoy the sense of calm at SFO International terminal. I really enjoy the Etihad Airways lounge at Dulles.
Number one piece of travel advice? Never check luggage; learn to go weeks with carry-on only, use hotel laundry.
• Watch what you eat: canned tuna, raw almonds when you’ re on the go make up for heavy work dinners
How do you pack suits for multiple days in a carry-on? I invert my jacket— I put one sleeve into the other and fold it three times over. I only pack suits where the fabric is relatively wrinkle-free, which helps out a lot, and there are definitely certain fabrics that do better. My bag is full so no matter what I do, there’ s a little wrinkling.
Best tip to navigate through Dulles? Go digital. Check in online beforehand. Invest in CLEAR, Global Entry or TSA Pre-check, and if you’ re being dropped off, have the driver drop you off in the middle of the airport which puts you closer to those entry points.
Favorite part about Dulles? I think it has beautiful architecture. For an airport built in the 60s, it has a very futuristic look and it’ s a pretty airport, especially at night.
