A Season of Growth
As the cherry blossoms herald the beginning of Spring, we welcome you to the National Capital Region, and Reagan National and Dulles International airports. Spring is a time of growth, and our 2024 passenger numbers reflect that. More than 53 million passengers traveled through Dulles International and Reagan National last year. Thank you for your loyalty.
We were pleased to continue our longstanding partnership with the National Cherry Blossom Festival in 2025 and looking forward to next year. We encourage you to plan your visit in advance to experience the breathtaking blossoms and cultural events.
In this edition, we also are showcasing some of our nonstop flights and highlighting Italy. Explore the enchanting palaces and palazzos of Venice, Italy, which is featured as our cover story. The city’ s timeless beauty, rich history and iconic canals make it a must-visit destination. Closer to home, we also are highlighting our neighbor, Arlington, Virginia, showcasing Italy-inspired local shops and experiences that bring a taste of Venice to our region.
Spring is also the perfect time to explore new destinations. From the artistic energy of Miami, to the rich culture of Dakar, to the excitement of Las Vegas and the stunning beauty of Nice, there’ s no shortage of great places to visit. For those looking for unique summer escapes, read our features on Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Puerto Rico, as well as our Summertime Americana destinations, including Macon, Georgia, Fort Worth, Texas, and Plattsburgh, New York.
We also are excited to offer a number of new dining options here at the airports. There is Rappahannock Oyster Bar, offering a true taste of the Chesapeake Bay, the iconic D. C. eatery Ben’ s Chili Bowl, and Gatsby, another eclectic addition to our expanding local culinary lineup at Dulles.
For those driving to the airport, we are enhancing our parking experience with PassPark, a new loyalty program designed to reward frequent travelers at our airports. We also are keeping our DCA travelers informed about ongoing parking improvements, ensuring they have the most up-to-date information for a smooth arrival.
We are committed to making your journey seamless and comfortable. Enjoy your travels, and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.
Warm regards,
Vice President of Communications David R. Mould
