Overlooking the Anacostia River and just south of Capitol Hill, Navy Yard is one
of D.C.’s fastest-growing neighborhoods and surprisingly convenient — just two
Metro stops from the National Mall. This revitalized riverfront area is continuously
evolving, with new restaurants, bars, and shops steadily strengthening the scene,
while park land along the riverfront provides plenty of green space.
Explore on foot for the true Navy Yard experience, as unique finds are around
every corner, including locally made gifts, an urban winery, and oysters fresh
from Chesapeake Bay. To top it all off, baseball season imparts an extra layer of
energy to Navy Yard, as the neighborhood is home to D.C.’s World Series-winning
baseball team, the Washington Nationals, at Nationals Park. If soccer is your sport
of choice, it’s only a six-minute walk to Audi Field, where D.C. United plays.
