BLAZE A TRAIL
It’s too late to catch a ride on the Bermuda Railway —
that island line closed for good in 1980 — but visitors
can follow its historic route on a converted rail trail
running the length of the island. Measuring 18 miles
from end to end, the Bermuda Railway Trail National
Park is a favorite with cyclists and runners who get
exclusive access to lush gardens, ocean lookouts, and
sheltered beaches along the way.
GETTING THERE
American Airlines operates a daily nonstop seasonal
flight from Reagan National Airport (DCA) to L.F.
Wade International Airport (BDA) every June, July, and
August. In 2020 the flight starts on June 4 and operates
until September 1. A one-way flight takes approximately
two hours and 25 minutes.
