NATIONAL CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL

Citywide National Building Museum
The nation’s largest springtime celebration offers weekends with
events for all, including the Pink Tie Party (March 20) Opening
Ceremony (March 20) Blossom Kite Festival (March 28); Petalpalooza
(April 11) and parade (April 4) as well as the star of the show, the
“peak” bloom of the cherry blossom trees around the tidal basin. Esteemed vendors gather to sell goods from all walks of
craftsmanship and design — basketry, ceramics, decorative fiber,
furniture, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, paper,
wearable art, and wood. Serious collectors and casual visitors will
find one-of-a-kind works of art in all price ranges.

DC COMEDY FESTIVAL 2020

In a city where so much serious business goes down, an equal
measure of laughter often provides the tonic to get through the
day. The third installment of the DC Comedy Festival gives you six
days to find all the chuckles and giggles you need, as it shines a light
on local and national talent. With open mics, dinners, showcases,
headliners, and brunch, the festival is guaranteed to squeeze out
every last laugh.

Virginia’s bountiful gardens blossom each spring at this annual
event. Visit more than 250 gardens, homes, and historic landmarks
during the eight-day event, while the Garden Club of Virginia —
which is marking its centennial in 2020 — fills the beautiful houses
with more than 2,300 flower arrangements.
THE D.C. BEER FESTIVAL
April 25
Nationals Park
The DC Beer Festival returns to Nationals Park bringing a stadium
full of craft and national breweries — more than 60, in fact, served
in unlimited tastings with your ticket. Feeding everyone will be a
herd of food trucks, dispensing everything from arepas to burgers,
from Peruvian to Vietnamese.
